Meet Cícero Dias, a Brazilian painter who made a name for himself in the surrealist movement.
Born in 1907, Cícero showed a talent for drawing and painting from a young age.
In 1925, he moved to Rio de Janeiro to study Architecture and Painting at the National School of Fine Arts.
His masterpiece, 'I Saw the World... It Began in Recife,' was exhibited at the Revolutionary Salon in 1928.
Cícero's surrealist works blended elements of Northeastern Brazilian popular culture with European modern art.
