Zingomar Facella, or simply Zi Facella, is a Brazilian artist residing in the Cambuci neighborhood of São Paulo, a traditional area with a large number of Italian immigrant families. Born on September 21, 1950, he is the son of Mery Volpi Facella and Zulmiro Facella.
Comparing Zi Facella's work to that of Alfredo Volpi is no coincidence, as Volpi was his great-uncle.

His art reflects his early training, which began as a child through frequent contact with his uncle, a well-established artist at the time.
While working as an entrepreneur, Zi Facella did not paint. He only began painting in 1987 and has not stopped since. Shortly after, in 1989, he started participating in group exhibitions, where we highlight his participation in the Memorial da América Latina, the Exhibition in honor of the Uruguayan Plastic Artist “Carlos Páez Vilaró”, in the year 2.004.
In the same year, he held his first solo exhibition at the Espaço Cultural PRODAM(Municipal Data Processing Company of São Paulo).
Zi Facella is married, has two children, and lives in the same neighborhood in São Paulo. He continues to produce and interact on social media, making it a joy and a gift to our contemporary art.
