After her passing, the Tomie Ohtake Institute organized an exhibition titled “Tomie Ohtake 100-101”, which brought together her latest works.
During her lifetime, eight books, catalogs, and films were published, one of which was directed by Walter Salles Jr., focusing on her work.

She participated in 20 International Biennales, with six in São Paulo, Venice, Tokyo, Havana, and other cities.
In addition to individual exhibitions, she participated in approximately 400 collective exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, receiving 28 awards.

Known as the Star of the Sea, Tomie Ohtake's sculpture was created in 1985 and installed in the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, where it remained until 1990.
